Delta Technologies Nyrt., listed on the Budapest Stock Exchange, has published its half-year report. According to the report published on BSE's website, the company's revenue for the half-year period was nearly HUF 8.2 billion. Despite the economic slowdown caused by the virus situation, the company's pre-tax profit was close to HUF 210 million.
Delta Technologies Plc, listed in the standard category of the Budapest Stock Exchange, reported positive results when it published its half-year financial report on the stock exchange's website. The company operates on a staggered fiscal year, i.e. from 1 July 2020 to 1 June 2021, due to the specificities of the IT sector. 30 June 2020 is the current financial year for the company.
In the published report, the company summarises its results for the last six months. Based on the data for the first half of the year, the company achieved a turnover of approximately HUF 8.2 billion, which is roughly equal to the full-year turnover of the listed company's largest wholly-owned subsidiary, Delta Systems Kft., in 2020. A further benchmark is Delta Systems' revenue for the 2019 financial year, which was HUF 15.6 billion - the company was able to generate revenue that was around half a billion forints higher than the previous year.
In addition to the revenue growth, the IT company achieved a pre-tax profit of nearly HUF 210 million. This is in line with the company's strategic objectives to build a competitive, strong and financially stable company in the short and long term.
It is a remarkable achievement that the company can return to its pre-virus sales volume in such a short period of time - according to the revised business plans based on the figures for the last financial year ended 30 June 2020, this would have been the target for the next financial year, but this year, ahead of the preliminary plans, it is already realistic. We will continue to work on the implementation of the business strategy in the future; we are confident that the second half of the year will be at least as successful as the first half.
