The year 2020 was a successful year for the domestic system integrator Delta Technologies

The last months of 2020 marked a milestone for Delta Technologies Plc, one of the leading Hungarian systems integrators, in several respects. Below is a summary by Zoltán Csontos, Chairman of the Board.

The year 2020 was an extraordinary year, with a significant impact on society and economies, as well as on the domestic IT market, mainly due to the global coronavirus pandemic. As we reported in large part at the AGM on 30 October, it has been a challenging year. That said, we remain committed to delivering on the objectives set out in our business strategy. Accordingly, we have succeeded in concluding cooperation agreements in a number of areas and I can report a number of business successes. In addition, we have mobilised significant resources to consolidate our presence in the capital markets. In order to achieve our objectives, we have also made several changes to the composition of our management team, and this year we have given a high priority to corporate social responsibility.

1. Contracts, projects

Delta Technologies Plc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Technologies, Delta Systems Ltd. won several system integrator orders from its corporate and government customers in November and December 2020, and launched several projects:

  • The start of the Smart classroom launched in partnership with Vodafone Hungary implementation of the concept, several classrooms have been commissioned by the partners from the public education sector.

  • In December the 5G and Industry 4.0 Vodafone and Delta Systems Kft. have signed a strategic cooperation agreement.

  • The company designed, built and implemented a Microsoft Sharepoint infrastructure and the related administration system for Paks II Zrt. and also performed data migration tasks. Microsoft SharePoint is a family of software developed by Microsoft primarily for corporate use, to support teamwork, file sharing and website publishing. The project was successfully implemented by the end of last year.

  • Delta Systems Ltd. will build a server room at the premises of the Pest County Government Office in Inselszentmiklós.The customer attaches great importance to the essentially continuous availability of the IT infrastructure and a high level of data security, which is why the company will provide the room with a full physical protection system. This includes, among other things, full active and passive electromagnetic protection, redundant power supply and cooling systems with backup alternatives, and an access control system.

  • The company has built a server system for the State Health Care Centre (SHC), integrating and customising products from leading international hardware and software manufacturers, which is capable of providing the necessary data backup functions with a high degree of security.

  • Delta Systems Ltd. has won the right to build a geo-redundant server and data storage infrastructure - geographically located in several independent locations - in a tender of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority.In the ongoing project, the company is responsible for the delivery of servers and storage devices, their installation in accordance with the official manufacturer's requirements, the integration of the system and the provision of related services.

Delta Technologies Plc, as a domestic systems integrator, will continue to develop its business in 2021, following a defined strategy. A number of promising negotiations were launched at the end of last year, including in the areas of 5G networks and Industry 4.0, with leading telecom majors and manufacturing companies.

2. Consolidating capital market presence

As announced at the last General Assembly, in 2020, the number of administrative and judicial proceedings consolidates a significant part of thesupport. Several months of work were also spent on drafting and amending the prospectus for the shares to be listed, with the assistance of two specialist capital markets law firms and leading financial advisory firms. Although the prospectus was rejected by the MNB in December, the company remains committed to the listing.

3. Management of the systems integrator company

Delta Technologies Plc. composition of the board of directors was renewed by the end of last year. The aim of the new board is to build on the most innovative areas of the listed company's business and expand its current portfolio to maintain its position as a leading systems integrator.

Delta Systems' management team has been joined by new executives with a professional background in large domestic companies and multinationals.

4. Social responsibility and digital education

Delta Technologies Plc is committed to providing the widest possible support in the areas of society where it feels the greatest need. In the run-up to the holidays, the together with the municipality of Debrecen we provided tablets to several classes of disadvantaged children to connect them to digital education.

Although 2021 promises to be another extraordinary year, we at Delta Technologies are ready for the challenges and ready to continue building our listed company along the strategic lines.
